Important documents to bring along

When moving to the Netherlands it might be useful - apart from your passport and visa/work permit papers - to bring along a legalized birth certificate, marriage certificate etcetera for each of your family members. You might need this to register at the residency administration and/or schools or universities.

Driving in the Netherlands

The RDW (Rijksdienst voor het Wegverkeer) is the authority that determines the rules on driving with / exchanging a foreign driver's license. You can also find rules on importing a car into the Netherlands on their website: www.rdw.nl
