ARUBA - ENTRY REQUIREMENTS - NON -US
Entry requirements for non-US passport holders for short-stay tourist/business
visits (maximum of 30 days) to Aruba.
Alien Registration
Card (ARC-GREEN
CARD) holders do NOT require a visa
even if your country is mentioned in the list below.
Other exemptions are:
- Airline/ Ship crew members (max 7 days)
- Holders of Diplomatic passports of the following countries:
Albania, Bolivia, Equador, Jamaica, Malawi, Morocco, Pakistan, Peru, Senegal, Thailand, Chad, Tunisia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates
- Holders of Service passports of the following countries:
Bolivia, Equador, Jamaica, Malawi, Morocco, Peru, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates
- Holders of a UN laisser-passer issued by the UN (as of January 1 2008)
- Holders of a valid re-entry permit issued by Aruba
- Cruise ship passengers who spend less then 48 hours on the Island
NOTE:
As of January 1, 2008 all children need a visa if they are holder of a nationality that requires a visa.

HOW TO APPLY FOR AN ARUBA VISA:
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS NEEDED TO ENTER ARUBA / VISA INFORMATION
Required travel documents for visitors entering Aruba from the US.
Non-US citizens, entering Aruba from the US, must have the following documents in their possession:
US residents (non-US citizens) for whom NO visa-requirements are applicable for Aruba must have a valid:
- National passport
- Alien Registration Card (ARC) / Green Card
US residents (non-US citizens) for whom visa-requirements are applicable for
Aruba must travel either with a valid:
- National passport (provided with a visa for Aruba, OR
- US government issued refugee passport (provided with a visa for Aruba).
Nationals that DO require a visa.
If you hold and travel on a passport of one of the countries listed below, you
need a visa to enter Aruba:

holder of a valid and used visa for the United States, Canada or the Schengen
area
PAPERS NEEDED TO ENTER ARUBA:
- A valid passport (with a visa for Aruba) or other recognized travel document,
AND
- A return airline ticket or an onward ticket to travel elsewhere outside
Aruba, AND
- The necessary documents for returning to the country of origin or for
further travel elswhere (e.g. visa), AND
- Sufficient funds to cover the intended stay in Aruba
VALIDITY
OF THE VISA
The short-stay tourist/business visa for Aruba can be issued to a maximum of 30 days per visit. (Maximum 90 days per 12 months. The period of 12 months goes in effect the moment the applicant enters Aruba).
Important:
please note that the duration of stay on the visa will be based upon your
airline ticket(s) or cruise details. E.g. if you intend to stay for 1 week,
the visa issued will be valid for 1 week.

SHOULD APPLY
Everybody has to apply in person
WHEN
TO APPLY
Keep in mind that it may take 4 weeks to get approval before the visa can
be issued, make sure you apply well in advance. Applications can be submitted
a maximum of 3 months before the date of departure.
WHAT
TO SUBMIT
The following documents should be submitted by each applicant:
- Visa
Application Form: This form can be completed and printed online but you have to sign the form in front of the passport or visa officer.
- Passport
with a validity that exceeds the intended stay of the applicant by at least
3 months. Please make sure that the passport has a
blank page to affix the visa.
- US visa, an advance parole, US visa together with the I-94 departure
record. Students should also submit an original valid I-20 or IAP-66.
- 1 recent passport photograph (not older then 3 months)
- Proof that you can proceed to the next country after you have visited
Aruba, i.e. confirmed itinerary / airline
reservation or airline ticket and required visa. When you bring a
confirmed itinerary / airline reservation at the time of your visa application,
the actual airline ticket has be shown if your visa has been approved. If
you are not sure if your visa will be approved, do not buy an airline ticket
yet: bring a confirmed airline reservation which can be cancelled.
- Proof of sufficient funds for
your intended stay: recent bank statements (originals) from last 3 months.
- Employment letter showing
salary, position, total time on the job, guarantee of employment upon return.
If you are self employed a business license from the Chamber of Commerce
and tax return forms are required.
- Proof establishing the purpose of
your trip: e.g. confirmed hotel/condominium reservation (stating
name, address, phone number of the hotel and confirmation number), proof
of group travel participation, invitation letter from family. For business visits, a by the Ministry of Justice from Aruba legalized letter of guaranty.
- Cash (exact change please) or money
order to pay the visa fee. Personal, business checks
and credit cards are NOT accepted. Visa fees vary depending upon the type
of visa and the exchange rate between the Euro and US currency. Click the

fees. Visa fees are non refundable. If your visa is approved, anyone can
collect the visa with the coupon you received at the time of application.
It is also possible to have the passport with the approved visa sent to your
home or business address - at your own risk - by overnight US mail. In this
case an additional postal fee between $10-$20 will be charged.
- Medical health/travel insurance that meets the following criteria:
- It is valid in Aruba
- It is valid during the entire period that you will be in Aruba
- The coverage is at least €30.000 (US $45.000).

The authorities of Aruba do not require that. However it is up
to the airline to have the consent of the other parent/guardian. For this reason
it is advisable to have the consent of the other parent/guardian.
